What's included in my Wedding Experience and Why
I have structured my wedding experience very intentionally. Everything that I offer and recommend is a strategic part of an overall experience that leads to what my CHP Couples ultimately desire: bright, colorful images that reflect joyful, intimate moments. The most significant and purposeful aspects of the Christy Hunter Wedding Experience include:
9 HOUR MINIMUM
I found that for a traditional wedding day where everything is at one location, I need a minimum of 9 hours to capture the full story of your day with a stress-free timeline. I'll be there from the moment you slip on your dress, until your dad busts a move on the dance floor, and everything in between.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION
I include an engagement session complimentary because this is my opportunity to get to know you and empower you to feel comfortable in front of the camera. No one likes to feel awkward!
SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER
I always have a second photographer with me on wedding days! This allows your gallery to be full of images with unique and different perspectives.

Whether it's responding to an email from you or photographing your wedding day, I am always focused on the details! To me, staying organized while paying attention to all the "little things" is key to an amazing wedding day experience AND a beautiful gallery of images. On top of providing you lots of educational resources to help you feel prepared, I also create a custom timeline tailored to your specific needs.
I just can't tell you how happy it makes me to see the unique touches you choose to feature on your wedding day that really speak to your personality. Are you two exchanging some One Ring-inspired wedding bands? Prepare to hear me belt out some Elvish! Want to have a light saber staged exit from your reception? May the force be with you! Never choose to hide the parts of you that you love about each other and that set your soul on fire!
Something that I hear a lot from the couples I've served is how relaxed and fun our time together is. While I take my job very seriously, I also want you to enjoy yourself! On your wedding day, you'll be spending more time with me than practically anyone else. I want you to feel at ease and truly enjoy the excitement that fills the day. If you don't feel free to be yourself around your photographer then your images won't feel like you.
My wedding process
01. Booking and planning
When you first inquire, I'll ask you a few questions to get an idea of what you both need and want. Next, I'll send you my Investment information with guidance so you aren't left guessing what the best option for you is. Then it's time to make things official!
02. The Engagement Session
Now the fun stuff! After you book, we’ll schedule your engagement session. And no worries... I’ll walk you both through the whole shoot! Your engagement session is what will provide you a strong foundation for your wedding day. This is a time for us to get to know one another, get comfortable working together, and allow you to spend time together in front of the camera with no stress!
03. A Custom Timeline
I work with every one of my couples to ensure that they will have a custom timeline that works perfectly for their particular wedding day. We want to make sure that nothing gets left out due to a schedule that's too restricted! The goal for your big day is no stress and all fun!
04. Your Wedding Day
Your special day has finally arrived! Yay!!! I want to make sure to capture every detail of your wedding day--that's why I rarely photograph less than 8 hours! And my absolute FAVORITE part of the whole evening? Capturing your very first portraits as HUSBAND & WIFE. Eeeek!!!
05. Gallery Delivery
Within one month of your wedding day, you'll receive all of your high-resolution files via an online gallery. From there, you'll be able to easily download, share, and print all your beautiful images.

F.A.Q.'s
What is your shooting style like? Are you giving direction all day long or are you quietly taking photos from a distance?
I love being both interactive and discreet throughout the wedding day. There will be parts of the wedding day when I will need to be in control in order to accomplish everything that needs to be done while staying on schedule. There will also be moments when you shouldn’t even know that I’m there. (The ceremony, during dances and toasts, etc.) I teach my couples how to pose, model, and interact during their engagement
session so they are naturals on the wedding day and don’t need quite as much instruction from me!
How many images will we receive in our final gallery and how will they be delivered to us?
I average 40-50 images per hour that I’m shooting. This number can vary in number if you have an ultra detailed wedding versus a more simplistic design, whether or not you choose to have a First Look together, etc. I love delivering my client’s files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will have the ability to print, share, and download your images as much as you want. I believe in freely sharing my work because that is what I would want if I were in your shoes!
What if I haven't chosen a wedding venue yet?
That's okay! If you are more set on having a specific date and not as focused on where you say "I do" then push for the date you want! You can lock in your date with me and we will add in the venue details when you figure that out. However, if you have your heart set on a specific venue, lock in the date with them FIRST and then work on securing all of your amazing wedding vendors!
Are you willing to travel further from your home for engagement sessions?
I am more than willing to travel for engagement sessions! I actually love it when my couples ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! Depending on what time of year you're thinking of having your Engagement Session, I recommend booking them at least two months in advance, earlier if you want a really popular season/holiday. 60 miles of travel to and from your session are included.

Once I have answered any questions you may have and you have decided that my Wedding Experience is exactly what you’re looking for on your wedding day, the next step is a booking proposal. I will create an online proposal that will walk you through the package and when you’re ready you can save your date by signing your contract and paying your retainer online. Easy peasy!
