I met Lisa and Alan during a bridal show in Tucson. Right away I knew they were going to be a blast to be around. Not only were they making me laugh during their engagement session in Sierra Vista, but they couldn’t stop laughing with (and at) each other if they tried! They were both FULL of energy and it was clear how much they loved each other. Alan said that Lisa puts everyone else before herself and I could definitely see that kindness and selflessness in her.
Exploring Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t really explored my new home very much. I arrived in Sierra Vista right as monsoon season started and the temperatures started climbing. Then I was second-shooting for other photographers a ton, preparing for the holidays, and doing a ton of stuff sitting behind my computer. The grass (yes, we actually have a few teeny spots with real grass here) and trees haven’t really started to come back to life yet, but I was still able to find some spots that gave Lisa and Alan some variety in their session.
Apart from the scenery, I discovered that Alan and I share a love of Reese’s and Lisa and I are Long Island Iced Tea fans! There was something else that they told me about at their Sierra Vista engagement session that absolutely blew me away though! We just met in January two months ago… And they are almost completely done with wedding planning already! Say whaaaaattt…?!?!?! If you guys haven’t heard this by now, I’m a huge planner. But a whole wedding put together in two months while juggling family and work? Freaking impressive.
I wonder if these two ever thought they would’ve found the love of their lives at Applebee’s of all places! I am so excited to be apart of Lisa and Alan’s wedding at La Mariposa. From what I’ve heard so far, it’s going to be full of color, fun, and lots of shenanigans!
