I love getting to photograph at locations that I’ve visited before for something entirely separate from photography. When fellow photographer Shannon Roselius reached out to me collaborating on a photo session, I was super excited when she mentioned working at Beachaven. When I typically visit Beachaven Winery, it is PACKED. Lawn chairs as far as the eye can see. Music playing from the outdoor stage. Wine bottles galore. Their regular Jazz on the Lawn concerts continue to grow in popularity every single season. I was eager to look at the winery with fresh eyes and absorb the venue on a quiet Tuesday evening. If you haven’t had the opportunity to stop by Beachaven outside of Jazz (as the concert enthusiasts refer to it), GO NOW! The grounds are beautiful and they offer the perfect setting to sit down, relax, and enjoy a delicious bottle of wine.
It was also a real treat to be able to walk through the vineyard and see the cute little grapes that will continue to grow and thrive in the Tennessee soil.
And let me introduce you to gorgeous Arienne! She is a photographer as well, but not the least bit shy in front of the camera. Me on the other hand? I get so awkward and clammy when I have a camera on me. So please believe me when I say I understand when my clients say they worry about what to do when it comes time for their session. That’s why I make sure to walk you through it every step of the way. The awkwardness slowly melts away and then it seems like our time together just FLYS! And it never fails: the guy always starts off less than excited and then has TONS of requests for certain images. I absolutely love it. And guys: let me assure you that your sweetheart loves it too. Major brownie points 😉
And did I mention that Arienne did her her own makeup?! She looked AMAZING!
I’m so happy that I got to work with Shannon and Arienne before my big Arizona move. Life has been beyond stressful over the past month or two and working alongside these two was exactly what I needed. You two women are SO TALENTED and I can’t wait to see what magic you create in Clarksville! XOXO
