Ciara and Logan had their hearts set on Mt. Lemmon as their featured location from the moment we started talking. They initially wanted to go up in late 2021/early 2022, but the weather on the mountain that time of year can be very unpredictable. Despite being in the desert, Mt. Lemmon actually sees tons of snow! The elevation climbs pretty quickly and with that change comes colder temperatures. It’s a great retreat from the heat during the summer, but causes icy roads and hazardous conditions in the late fall and winter seasons. So, an early Spring engagement session on Mount Lemmon was the perfect fit for Ciara and Logan.
Logan is pretty proud of how his proposal to Ciara played out. They spent the day driving around under the guise of gathering some PokeStops. For those of you who aren’t avid Pokémon Go players, these stops are at the game’s core and essential to players who wish to advance. They are typically marked by buildings, museums, public art displays, etc. that are scattered around your town. Well, it was the perfect setup for Logan to take Ciara to some memorable places throughout their relationship together.
They first went by their work building– the place they first met. While they were there, they couldn’t help but reminisce about their beginnings. Next they visited a few random parks “to throw her off the scent,” Logan explained. He didn’t want Ciara to figure out what was about to happen. Their last stop was at their park: where they shared their first kiss. As they walked around, Logan told Ciara that their first kiss was the moment when he realized he didn’t want to lose her.
I had been waiting almost 8 months to finally meet Ciara and Logan in person. I have to say, they seem to be a relationship replica of my husband Mike and I. Separately, I asked both of them what their favorite things are. It can be anything, no limitations! They both answered “my fiancé, video games, and food.”
Well, when I’m not out on a photo session, those three words baaaasically sum up how I spend my free time haha. Mike is my best friend and we do almost everything together. We recently did the unthinkable and bought a second game console so that he and I can play games together at the same time next to each other on the couch. And food? Who doesn’t constantly look forward to a sweet treat or cheat meal? I know we definitely do.
At the start of Ciara and Logan’s engagement session, we hung out among the pine trees just getting to know each other and laughing as much as possible.
Naturally, I instantly fell in love with Ciara’s second outfit starring my favorite color, teal. Oh, and bonus: it has pockets!
We went from abundant and really bright daylight to soft sunset glow in about 10 minutes. And the crazy part of it all? We were practically by ourselves up at Windy Point! Last time I was there the place was PACKED with people. I was really glad that Ciara and Logan got to have a bit more privacy at such a romantic place.
Six months from now, I’ll be celebrating with these two at the Stillwell House! I’m hoping that their mutual love for gaming makes a debut somehow. That pastime is such a big part of who they are and I, as a self-appointed nerd celebrator, feel like it should be proudly on display! I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed…
